So this is something I've been working on for months now, literally months!

Pocket Mirrors

Mirror, mirror on the wall....or in this case, in your pocket! I've now got 5 brand new pocket mirrors. All have my illustrations and paintings on them and come in a lovely organza bag. I'm really in love with these. They're so cute AND functional. I've got 2 designs up in my shop now, and will be releasing the other 3 soon.

Welcome Twenty Ten!

So a new year means a new start right? Or was New Years just another day of the week?!

For me, it's definitely a new start. I've got a ton of exciting news to update you on.

First things first, I got Hitched! That's right, no more Ms. Christy hee hee hee. My wedding was a fantastically fun stress-free event. Now that all the chaos is finished, I can dive back into my art world. *exhale* I can't wait to get my updates back up to speed (I've been consumed with the wedding and thus, a deadbeat blogger. sorry!).

Next off, I've finally been sucked into the Facebook universe. Holy crap, it's addicting! I can't get enough. So what are you waiting for? Take a peek at my page: facebook.com/PeppermintDaydreams.

Well, I hope you all had a fantastic new year! We ended up watching Paranormal Activity with some friends, and enjoyed some scrumptious homemade peanut butter bon bons!

Joshua Tree / Cabazon part 1

A few weeks ago, me and a hand full of friends crammed all our bodies, and camera equipment, into my car and headed to Joshua Tree. It was a fun filled photo day adventure, with beautiful landscapes and perfect weather.
We also traveled to Cabazon land of magic and dinosaurs!...think Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

I just can't watch this enough times! The skeleton and bat part is definitely the best, no wait, the zebra and elephant....hmmm, there are just too many good parts.

I'm so excited!

It's true, I am!...except for the scared part.

'What makes this gal so insanely happy?' you might be thinking. Well, the fabulous Swiv Tackle Circus Gallery is now carrying prints by yours truly! Definitely make your way to 530 South Coast Hwy in Oceanside CA and check this place out. They've got lots to offer, including lowbrow art exhibits, apparel and accessories made by local artists, and all the fancy black and white striped fabric you can imagine. They even have a garden outside! So go there already...you won't be disappointed.

Necklaces, art for your neck.

Oh my gato, an artist collaboration!

Me and Cat of Polarity teamed up to create some amazing lockets. Cat constructs these necklaces from recycled car parts, but don't worry, they don't look anything like a rusty old engine. She pieced together her jewelry with my illustrations. The final product:
